AI video intelligence for YouTube

Every YouTube video, decoded into insight.

Insightube is an AI YouTube summarizer for Chrome. It sits beside any video with the full transcript and turns it into a briefing: a summary, key points, each speaker's viewpoint and the moments that matter, in the language you read best.

Zoning is the real bottleneck

Ortiz and Hale disagree on mandates, but both name zoning as what actually slows cities down.

What it builds for you

Five layers of understanding from one click.

Every briefing has the same structure, so you can take in a two-hour interview in a minute and jump straight to the moment you need.

01 · Summary & insights

The whole video in one briefing

A one-paragraph overview first, then the key points and the insights that connect them. Long videos are handled in full, not skimmed.

  • Overview, key points, insights and key moments
  • Formal, readable writing in the video's language
  • Saved automatically, so it's there next time
02 · Speaker viewpoints

Who believes what, and why

Panels, debates and podcasts are about people disagreeing. Insightube gives every speaker their own position and arguments instead of blending them into one summary.

  • Each speaker's stance in their own words
  • Where they agree and where they clash
03 · Translation

Read every briefing in your language

Watch a Japanese interview and read the briefing in English, or a Spanish lecture in Chinese. Tap a language on the left to translate the example.

  1. Pick your language once in Settings.
  2. Click Translate under any summary.
  3. Sections, speakers and timestamps stay exactly in place, and the translation is saved with the summary.

Transcripts can also be shown in two languages, line by line, using YouTube's own captions. Summary translation is part of Pro.

04 · Key moments

Jump to the moment that matters

Every point links to its timestamp. Click it and the video plays from there.

  • Clickable timestamps in summaries and transcripts
  • Auto-scroll follows the video
05 · History

Everything you learned, on file

Every briefing is saved on your device. Search by title, channel or idea and reread it in seconds, translations included.

  • Searchable library of past summaries
  • Stored privately in your browser
06 · Transcripts

Clean transcripts, grouped by speaker

Readable paragraphs instead of random caption fragments, in any caption language, ready to copy or export.

  • Export TXT and SRT
  • Free for everyone, no sign-in needed
Questions

YouTube summaries and transcripts, answered.

How do I get the transcript of a YouTube video?

Install Insightube and open any YouTube video that has captions. The full transcript appears in a panel beside the video, grouped into readable paragraphs by speaker, with clickable timestamps. You can copy it or download it as TXT or SRT. Transcripts are free and need no account.

How do I summarize a YouTube video with AI?

Open the video, then click Summarize in the Insightube panel. In about 20 seconds for a one-hour video you get a short overview, key points, insights, each speaker's viewpoint and the key moments, each linked to its timestamp.

Can Insightube summarize long videos, like 2-hour podcasts?

Yes. Insightube reads the whole transcript instead of skimming. The free plan covers videos up to 1 hour; Pro summarizes videos of any length.

Which languages does it support?

Transcripts work in any language YouTube has captions for, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Cantonese. Summaries are written in the video's language by default, and Pro can translate any summary into the language you prefer.

What are speaker viewpoints?

Instead of blending a discussion into one summary, Insightube gives each speaker their own position and arguments, and shows where they agree and disagree. It is useful for interviews, panels, debates and podcasts.

Is Insightube free?

Yes. Transcripts are free, and the free plan includes 3 AI summaries a week. Pro costs $4.99 a month, or $29.99 a year (about $2.50 a month), and adds unlimited summaries, summary translation and videos longer than 1 hour.

Where are my summaries saved?

Every summary is saved in your own browser and listed on the History page, where you can search, reread and copy it. Your summaries are not stored on our servers.

Is my data private?

Insightube only sends the video's title and transcript to create a summary when you ask for one, and doesn't keep them afterwards. We don't track your browsing, show ads or sell data. See the privacy policy for details.
